Subject: Complaint regarding poor service and wheelchair assistance on flights PHTVL9 (Austin to Hyderabad)
Dear Lufthansa Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the service my wife and I experienced on our recent flights from Austin to Hyderabad (Booking ID PHTVL9, departing August 17, 2024, and arriving August 19, 2024).
As senior citizens (ages 63 and 62), we had requested wheelchair assistance for my wife, who has arthritis, to ensure a comfortable and smooth journey. Additionally, we had reserved vegetarian and Hindu meals in advance. However, our experience was marred by several issues:
1. *Poor meal quality*: The meals served on both flights were of very poor quality and were almost inedible. The staff did not offer any alternative options or show any concern when they saw us struggling to eat.
2. *Inadequate wheelchair assistance*: Despite our prior request, we faced significant challenges during transit in Frankfurt:
- There was no aerobridge, and we had to navigate 25 steps down from airplane to board a bus, which was already overcrowded.
- There was no reserved seating for wheelchair-bound passengers, and we had to travel standing for about 20 minutes.
- The staff did not provide adequate assistance, leaving us to fend for ourselves.
3. *Gate changes and lack of guidance*: We experienced multiple gate changes, with inadequate communication and no assistance provided for wheelchair-bound passengers:
- Initially, we were dropped at Gate XX, but after waiting for an hour, we were informed that the gate had changed to Gate YY.
- Shortly after reaching Gate YY, we received a message that the gate had changed again to Gate ZZ, which was a significant distance away.
- There was no wheelchair assistance provided, and we had to navigate the long distance with great difficulty.
These issues caused significant distress, discomfort, and pain for my wife, who was already suffering from arthritis. We were expecting a comfortable and smooth journey, but Lufthansa failed to meet our basic expectations.
We request compensation for the failure to provide adequate wheelchair assistance and the overall poor service we experienced. We hope that Lufthansa will take necessary steps to address these issues and improve the travel experience for senior citizens and passengers with disabilities.

No updates about my checked in bag
I have traveled from Houston to Delhi via Munich through Lufthansa. I started on 27th May at Houston and the ground staff there insisted on checking in my cabin bag at last moment against my willingness. And now after arriving at Delhi on LH 762 on 28 May,I was appalled to see my bag not there. Not only that the staff seems to have put all wrong bag tags on my cabin bag at that crucial moments that it is difficult for them also to track it. After covid, the ticket prices have soared so so much , but their staff continues to work with so much irresponsibility. This airline has done such poor job of tracking my luggage with things so precious to me. These airlines are surely very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend anyone traveling through them. I am surely advising all my friends and relatives, coworkers to not fly with them.
Lost Dog, Lost Luggage
My husband flew with Lufthansa from Shanghai to JFK through Frankfurt on 15th Feb, but during the transfer, they forgot to put our dog (and luggage) on the flight! Our dog is stranded and we cannot get any information of his exact location or state. We are extremely angry and distraught.
Despite the crate having multiple emergency numbers on it, nobody has called any of them. All numbers for CS and the airport office have been unreachable. Who will give us information about our dog? A live creature and a member of our family was lost by you and we know nothing. It's shocking and outrageous. Please give us something.
Lost Baggage - Claiming refund
I travelled by Lufthansa LH 754 on 22nd Oct 2022, PNR - MCT9JW.This was a multiple journey from Tromso- Oslo – Frankfurt – Bangalore . My bag was not on same flight and hence I reported this via Lufthansa service agents at the Bangalore airport (ref – BLRLH45949). I have received no update on the status of my bag and your contact centre , is absolutely non responsive. I have left multiple voice mails on this no and have not received a call back from your service agents. I have also checked the status of my lost baggage on your website. The status still says “Searching for bag”. KINDLY LET ME KNOW WHERE MY BAG IS AND WHEN IT WILL BE DELIVERED TO ME ????? If I get not response in the next twenty four hours, I’m going to raise a refund claim for my bag whose value is well above 1lkh INR. I’m appalled by the absolute ignorance of your airlines and the treatment of your customers by your service agents. This is total harassment of your customer.

Booking Cancellation: no refund
Dear all,
beginning of January I booked a flight with Lufthansa Mumbai - Vienna - Mumbai.
The system detected an error and informed that the booking did not succeed.
Therefore I booked again and ended up with two bookings.
The cancellation was confirmed via mail.
Since Jan 4 I have been waiting for getting my money back.

Dear Lufthansa Customer Service Team,
I wanted to cancel my flight from the US to Germany because an important meeting at the US consulate in Germany was moved to another location.
During the cancelation process on May 19th (more than 30 days before departure), there was no information given on the cancellation conditions.
Only a short note was written saying
“Cancellation acknowledgment – Important notices
If your ticket fare allows any refunds, the amount will be calculated and recredited to your account.
If an administrative fee applies, this will be debited to your account separately”
Then with one click the flight was cancelled without requesting any cross-checks and no information on the actual refund which will be provided.
According to my experience with other airlines (Spirit, S7, American, etc.), the cancellation conditions are either written on the site when you click "ticket cancellation".
As an alternative, a REQUEST is sent to cancel the ticket and then the conditions are sent to my email and I decide whether these conditions are suitable him or not.
We did not find any cancellation conditions, and on May 20, $123.67 dollars were refunded and we lost more than $1,500(ticket price was $1713.57)!
If we had known about such inadequate ticket cancellation conditions and process, we would not have canceled the ticket!
The operator said that our case was already closed, and if we had called and asked to stop the cancellation of the ticket before the refund went through, then it would still be possible to do something.
HOW could we find out with these confusing and untransparent cancellation conditions how much we would actually get back BEFORE the refund was issued?
I wanted to cancel the ticket very early on and wanted to see the conditions first! And now it went though quickly without any chance for us to review it.
This is a huge amount for us!
Is there anything that can be still done?
We would also take the old ticket again and then fly to the wrong city and the wrong date!
I always loved traveling with Lufthansa and this would have been my first flight home after the COVID pandemic.
Now, I need to cancel the trip and will certainly not fly with Lufthansa again!

No response from Lufthansa for lost baggage
On reaching Delhi from Seattle via Frankfurt on 26 Jun 2019, I found one of my checked in baggage missing. Lost baggage complaint was filed vide ref DELLH79570. Initially I got reply from customer relations and was given customer Feedback ID. But after that I am not getting any response to my emails from Lufthansa. It is more than 105 days now.

I have booked my flight from Baroda to Toronto on 8th April, 2019. The flight from Baroda to Mumbai is being operated by Jet Airways and I am in receipt of an e-mail regarding cancellation of flight. If, I claim for refund of my flight, than entire booking is cancelled i.e my onward booking from Mumbai to Toronto is also canceeled? What should I do? It may please be noted that there is no such option for cancellation of partial booking.
Wrong meal served, Delayed baggage
I am highly disappointed with the on-board service provided on the my flight from Newark -Munich starting 4th March ‘19 (LH413). The crew provided me with Non- Vegetarian food despite of clearly mentioning my requirement of Asian -Vegetarian meal. As i started eating i figured out that I have been served meat. I vomitted on the flight and was really annoyed that how can the crew ignore my requirement. On asking they simply said we don’t have Asian Vegetarian meal. This is unacceptable. Not only my health deteriorated because of the carelessness but also my religious sentiments were hurt. How can such a reputed airlines show such a high degree of ignorance. I need an answer how are you going to undo what I have gone through????
Secondly on arriving to Mumbai airport via flight LH766 on 5th March they report me that my luggage is missing. Now , going through the trauma on my on board flight this was the last thing I expected reaching back. I had meetings to attend but no clothes and documents to take along as my luggage was missing. So I am expected to first do shopping and leave all the important works at hand. It’s highly unacceptable to think that this airlines doesnt value it’s customers and their preferences.Its been 2 days and my luggage is still not arrived. Lufthansa airlines is this how you provide your services???

stole expensive items
i was coming from canada via frankfurt to new delhi. when I reached delhi I came to know that my baggage has been missing. eventually I got my baggage after 2 days, they were saying that they missed my luggage at frankfurt anyhow when I received my baggage, My original lock was broken and my iphone 8s was stolen from my beg. I dont know whether its people from Delhi airport who stole or its lufthansa airlines who stole my expensive phone.
one more thing I would like to say is delhi airport is the worst airport and staff is terrible. all of them are thieves and just try to rip you off somehow. well this time , i ve been targeted.

I fly from bengaluru to barcelona , and i need to have excess luggage information . The info in the web is confused. I yry to call lufthansa begaluru and the man who answer the phone he hang up whithout listen me twice. I lost mire yhan 1 hour trying to contact , but is awful. Well, I booked my grandmother's ticket through your airlines, details as follows: Flight number: 757 that's from Mumbai to Frankfurt and from Frankfurt to Edinburgh that's 962, travelling date: 14th September 2018 at 02.55 Initially, while booking you guys promised that my grandmother would receive a wheelchair for the journey from one end to the other since she cannot walk. *After booking one of the executive informs my mother that my grandmother won't receive any wheelchair. I had an extremely harrowing experience with Flight number LH760 connecting flight from Frankfurt to New Delhi on Wednesday 20/06/2018 seat number 86H .
The airline didn’t receive my luggage from my previous United Airlines Flight number UA46 .
I spent four hours in airport with no clue as to what to do . I had to buy new stuff Coz my two large suitcases were untraceable.
I had to spent extra nights in Delhi , missed an important interview scheduled elsewhere .
Though Lufthansa was kind enough to deliver my luggage in the hotel after two night , I had to bear unecessary expenditure Coz of their fault .
Being a student who is always on tight budget this unnecessary expenditure is a huge strain on my pocket.
I would request Lufthansa staff to let me know if it’s possible to get refund for my clothes and stay . It would be immense relief to me . I shall be highly obliged .
Bad service during trevel

We were recently trevelling from delhi to boston n new york to delhi,
On 3 rd may and 21 st may.
We had very bad experience both times,
While going, our meal was short, so they gave us something else which we could not eat, and those air hostess were in such a attitude that we cant even dare to ask for water, she dint serve me water for two hours,
If we ask her again, she would increase her voice in front of whole passengers, that is so insulting.
And when we reached boston, our suitcase was broken,
We showed it to counter, and they sent us mail after so much of exercise,
Then while returning, again those on board host were so rude, everytime they behaved so arrogant. As if we are trevelling free,
The food was again short and replaced which we could not eat.
We will never trevel in your airlines in future untill n unless you sort out our matter,
We heard you people are very kind and royal,
Which was not seen.

I bought this ticket on 14th of June 2017through "Make My Trip" for the sector DEL-FRA-CPH-YYZ for the journey starting on 25th August 2017 vide flight No LH 761 and LH 826 for FRA and CPH sector and AC 883 for CPH -YYZ sector on 09th Sept.2017.
My return Flight no.LH 6779 for YYZ-FRA and LH 760 for sector FRA-DEL on 31st Oct., and 01st Nov.,2017.
As per government ordinance,UDF charges were reduced w.e.f Ist of July 2017 and the travellers who had paid these charges prior to July 1st 2017 would get the same refunded.
I am following it up with MMT for the last Six months for the refund and they are not releasing on the pretext of not getting it from the Air Canada. Hence making this complaint to you for expediting the same.
Frustrating service by Lufthansa
My tickets was with LH765 from Mumbai to Munich...we sat 3 hours in plane after flight got canceled. It took 8 + hours to place in hotel. And they keep each passenger hanging around without water and no food offered as well. Never such helpless airline service and the service officials
