5 Year Integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) – Regulations, 2013-14
I. Eligibility and Admission Procedure
1. Admissions will be made from the candidates who have qualified in Common Law Admission Test
(CLAT) – 2013 conducted by Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur on 12th May, 2013
(Sunday). Students seeking admission to DSNLU shall apply separately with their CLAT-2013
rank by downloading the application from the website. The CLAT Rank shall be mandatorly
provided. Admissions will be only on the basis of CLAT-2013 ranking secured by the applicant.
2. Age: Candidates should not be above 20 years of age as on 1st July, 2013 (22 years in case of
SC / ST / BC Candidates).
3. In addition, to be eligible for admission, a candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary
School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent recognised by the University, secured
45% marks in the aggregate.
4. The applicants who have obtained 10+2 through open universities system directly without having
any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission into the law
courses.
5. All candidates seeking admission should note that 5 Year Integrated B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.) Course is
purely residential. However, presently the University Campus is under construction and the
University provides accommodation in the University recognized hostels. Such of those students
requiring accommodation in the University recognized hostels should mention in the application
form. Those who do not require hostel accommodation and opting for their own arrangements
have to provide an undertaking at the time of admission that they will abide by the University Code
of Conduct and discipline rules that are in force and provided from time to time and that they have
made their own arrangement for food and accommodation with the consent of the parents and will
be under the supervision of local guardian.
6. Eligible candidates, may apply to the Registrar, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University
(DSNLU) in the prescribed form, which can be downloaded from this website www.dsnlu.ac.in along with a fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) by Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank, in favour of ‘Registrar, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University payable at Visakhapatnam and submit the same duly filled in within the stipulated time (15-06-2013) either in person or by post to: The Registrar, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Plot No-116, Sector-11, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam, 530017. The above fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
II. Intake and Reservations:
The University admits 120 students with reservations as per Government of Andhra Pradesh Rules.
Candidates from other states and foreign nationals will be admitted as per the existing rules.
III. DURATION OF THE COURSE AND SEMESTER SYSTEM
1. The duration of the course shall be Five academic years i.e. 10 (ten) Semesters.
2. Each academic year is divided into two semesters. Each semester will have a minimum of ninety
(90) working days.
3. The academic calendar shall commence from 03rd July, 2013.
4. Medium of instruction shall be English Only.
5. The scheme of the study shall be strictly in conformity with the syllabi and regulations prescribed
by the Bar Council of India and Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) from
time to time.
